For those applying for the
Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology

Apply to Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology by completing the online application and submitting the additional materials listed below to be received by the program no later than the December 15 deadline. This application should be used only to apply for the Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology. Your application to the Ph.D. Program will not be considered complete unless it contains a completed online application plus the following supplemental materials:

  1. All undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Only official transcripts will be reviewed. (Note: you must have completed at least 18 credits of psychology course work at the graduate or undergraduate level, including Introductory Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Statistics, Experimental Psychology, and Social Psychology).
  2. Three letters of recommendation. If you are submitting these with your application, rather than asking your recommenders to mail their letters directly, they should be in sealed envelopes with the recommender’s signature across the sealed area.
  3. A personal statement describing your interest in psychology and your reasons for pursuing graduate studies in this field. Outline your plans for professional work, including research, teaching, and human service endeavors.
  4. A curriculum vitae (CV).
  5. Official GRE aptitude and advanced psychology test score reports from within the past 5 years (unless you are a respecialization program applicant, in which case older scores will be accepted).  Use Institution code 2263 and Department code 2016 when requesting these from ETS.
  6. A $40 nonrefundable application fee, made payable to Fairleigh Dickinson University. (Note: The fee cannot be paid online).
