Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology

Apply to Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology by completing the online application and submitting the additional materials listed below to be received by the program no later than the December 15 deadline. If an applicant is currently enrolled in school, an unofficial transcript will be accepted. An official one must be sent at the end of the semester.. This application should be used only to apply for the Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology. Your application to the Ph.D. Program will not be considered complete unless it contains a completed online application plus the following supplemental materials:

  1. All official undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Only official transcripts will be reviewed. (Note: you must have completed a course in Statistics and at least 15 other credits of psychology course work at the graduate or undergraduate level. Preferred courses include Introductory Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Experimental Psychology, and Social Psychology).
  2. Three letters of recommendation. After you submit the form you will receive an email with a link for your recommendation letter. You can forward the link to three recommenders to submit letter electronically.You can also download the Applicant Recommendation Form. If you are submitting the recommendation letter, rather than asking your recommenders to mail their letters directly, they should be in sealed envelopes with the recommender’s signature across the sealed area.
  3. A personal statement describing your interest in psychology and your reasons for pursuing graduate studies in this field. Outline your plans for professional work, including research, teaching, and human service endeavors. Do not include faculty names that you would wish to work with. (You can upload your Personal Statement with your name on it).
  4. A curriculum vitae (CV). (You can upload your vitae).
  5. Official GRE aptitude and advanced psychology test score reports from within the past 5 years (unless you are a respecialization program applicant, in which case older scores will be accepted).The Psychology GRE is optional for those who majored in psychology as an undergraduate.  Use Institution code 2263 and Department code 2016 when requesting these from ETS.
